ECOTAP® SPD®
The new standard in single-phase transformer technology
Single-phase on-load tap-changer and automatic voltage regulation all-in-one
As load and DER increase, voltage at the grid edge can limit additional connections. ECOTAP® SPD® stabilizes voltage directly at the transformer and keeps it within limits automatically without manual intervention.
ECOTAP® SPD® enables single-phase pole‑ or pad-mounted voltage regulating distribution transformers (VRDT). The VRDT continuously regulates the secondary voltage under changing load and generation conditions. Field installations follows standard transformer deployment – no additional equipment, cabinets or installation steps required.
Your Advantages at a Glance
-
Plug & play solution
Voltage is kept within limits automatically, without manual control or complicated commissioning
-
One size fits all
One product, one material number, multiple applications/use cases/value streams
-
Increase hosting capacity
More DER and load can be connected without exceeding voltage limits
-
Cost-effective alternative
Reduce need for costly line expansion, capacitor banks, or other voltage regulating equipment
-
No additional infrastructure required
Control, measurement, and regulation are fully integrated in the transformer
-
Deploy like a conventional transformer
Same installation processes – no additional field complexity
