VACUTAP® VBO®
Future-proof resistor-type bolt-on tap-changer solution for transformers up to 40 kV
Note: We are currently working on new and improved generations of our OLTC VACUTAP® VBO® and drive unit ETOS® ID.
Start of delivery for both products will be in the second half of 2025.
VACUTAP® VBO® is the first resistor-type, bolt-on on-load tap-changer (OLTC) in vacuum technology offering all advantages of this established technology enriched with further possibilities by an innovative direct drive system.
VACUTAP® VBO® is retrofit-compatible, flange mounting (either screwed or welded) and winding connections are identical to existing AT on-load tap-changer design. Innovative direct-drive technology eliminates drive shafts and bevel gears and enables a remote and flexible installation of the drive control cabinet.
