More Information

Optimal results with intelligent drying
Our state-of-the-art Transformer Drying Service facilitates smart, controlled drying of the transformer. Unlike conventional drying processes, our smart drying system does not require the transformer to be shut off. The major advantage here is that the system's operating costs are very low and there is no need for heavy equipment. This means that overall drying costs are significantly lower than in conventional methods. The cellulose in the transformer, which stores the majority of the moisture, is also dried in a sustainable manner.

Maximum operating reliability
The drying process can be monitored in real time over a remote connection. If there are any disruptions, an automatic notification will be sent by text message or e-mail. The drying process can be remotely interrupted, stopped or restarted at any time. Maximum operating reliability

As part of installation, maintenance and repair on the transformer, all or some of the transformer oil must be pumped out of the transformer, degassed, filtered and dehumidified. Oil reconditioning (IEC 60422) can be performed by MR as an oil service on your asset. This is also particularly useful for selector maintenance and retrofits.

With our reconditioning solution tailored to you, we offer:

  •  (Full) service from a single source
  •  Synergy effects with other services
  • Reliability and professionalism
  • A global network of experts

The dielectric strength and water content of the insulating oils used are some of the most important parameters for reliable operation of on-load tap-changers. Sometimes, new oil does not already exhibit the values required by the operator, meaning that it must be treated. After extended operation or if the maintenance intervals have been reached, the oil in conventional on-load tap-changers in oil equipment is contaminated to the extent that it either must be disposed of or professionally cleaned.
Here, our mobile treatment unit is an economical and environmentally friendly solution for you.

Our mobile oil filter unit gives you the following advantages:

  1. Filtering the oil during the service visit for the on-load tap-changer using our mobile unit
  2. Water and particles are removed
  3. No delivery, disposal and storage of the oil needed
  4. Automatic compliance with the water resource regulations

Reconditioning and regeneration

According to the standard definition (IEC 60422), reconditioning is a process by which physical contamination is removed or reduced by way of physical treatment (filtration, dehumidification, degassing, etc.). If reconditioning is expanded, for example with Fuller's earth, this becomes the regeneration of the oil. Based on the oil analysis, it can be determined whether reconditioning or regeneration is recommended.
