Solutions for the challenges of megacities
TRANSFORM 2019 inspired international experts in Hong Kong
The TRANSFORM Event 2019 in Hong Kong ended on Friday, 27 October, with over 200 participants. As in previous years, the two-day branch event offered top-class lectures, a large product exhibition, and a variety of networking opportunities.
The event was focused on the topic "Megacities - resilient solutions for electrical power supply". Already in 2018, the TRANSFORM partner companies ordered a study on megacities in order to identify the challenges for the power supply of the future. The results of the study were used to define technological requirements for, for example, the overload capacity, monitoring and control or asset management of transformers.
The INNOVATIONS LAB with the "Transformer 2020 Evolution" was presented for the first time at TRANSFORM 2019, along with innovative technology concepts and solutions for the challenges of megacities, which were defined in the study. A central topic was of course also the digitization of power transformers. The expert audience was once again impressed by the event concept, which combines a successful mixture of lectures, exhibition, networking and discussions.
