MR acquires majority share in CEDASPE power Srl.
Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH (MR) has acquired a majority share in CEDASPE power Srl, a company with headquarter based in the northern of Italy, San Giuliano Milanese municipality and with foreign subsidiaries. This will take effect on January 1, 2016.
The family company has been manufacturing bushings and accessories for the transformer industry since 1967. During this time, it has earned itself a leading position in the global market. The established management team, made up of brothers Gian Franco, Andrea and Enrico Giorgi will continue to run the company.
The acquisition brings the great advantage of allowing to offer two product portfolios in the future which are positioned differently in the market. The CEDASPE brand is established on the global market and will be continued. For existing CEDASPE customers, nothing will change – quite the contrary in fact. With the incorporation of the brand into the MR network, global product availability will improve significantly. The CEDASPE product range includes bushings up to 52kV for distribution and power transformers, and accessories for the same like indicating instruments, Buchholz relays, as well as other components for the transformer industry. The internal quality system conforms to all globally applicable standards and requirements. CEDASPE is presenting itself as part of MR for the first time to a global customer base at Middle East Electricity in Dubai from March 1-3 2016 on a joint booth.
