On January 1, 2019, the rotational change in leadership took place at the Scheubeck-Jansen Stiftung.
The outgoing Chairman of the Board, Richard Scheubeck, was succeeded by Susanne Scheubeck. Dr. Kathrin Scheubeck was newly appointed to the board. With this change, two female shareholders will now actively work toward integration of the region and STEM talents.
Upcoming tasks include supporting the newly-appointed Chair for Artificial Intelligence in Additive Manufacturing at the Regensburg University of Applied Sciences, continuing established projects (talent from practical projects, internships and the BesTec prize) and developing new grant projects. In his role as Chairman of the Board for the foundation's trustees, Supervisory Board Chairman Hans-Jürgen Thaus gave Richard Scheubeck a send-off. He thanked him for his many initiatives promoting science and research in the region and highlighted the fact that three important professorships have been created since the foundation was established in 2002. "We can confidently say that you've had a positive effect on things. Now, two strong women from the family are taking over, ensuring continuity."
