Haslbach Solar Park to Supply Reinhausen with Regional Green Power
The system is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2026 and will comprise around 6,250 solar modules.
The Haslbach solar park is taking shape. On September 8, 2026, Reinhausen GmbH, REWAG, and Voltgrün Energie GmbH joined Mayor Dr. Thomas Burger to mark the progress of construction. Located on the property adjacent to Reinhausen's site, the system is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2026 and will supply the company directly with regionally generated green power.
REWAG will supply the solar power directly to Reinhausen in the future. Regensburg-based Voltgrün Energie GmbH is engineering and building the ground-mounted photovoltaic system. It is being built on a steep, south-facing slope covering around three hectares. Construction started in August 2026. Around 6,250 solar modules are now scheduled to be delivered and installed in September.
The system is expected to generate around 4,400 megawatt-hours of electricity per year. This will allow Reinhausen to cover around 20 percent of its electricity demand at the Haslbach site directly from the solar park. At the same time, around 1,800 to 2,000 metric tons of CO₂ will be saved each year. A dedicated direct line connects the solar park to the plant. Reinhausen uses the electricity primarily within its own grids; energy that is not needed directly is fed into REWAG's grid.
Three Regensburg Companies Link Generation and Industrial Use
The solar park links regionally generated green power with direct industrial use. The project is intended to expand the supply of renewable energy at the Regensburg business location while also increasing security of supply for Reinhausen.
Mayor Dr. Thomas Burger emphasizes the importance of the project for the city and the region: “The Haslbach solar park is an impressive example of what can be achieved when strong partners from Regensburg combine their expertise. The project strengthens regional value creation, improves the supply of renewable energy, and at the same time sends an important signal for Regensburg as a business location.”
Dr. Robert Greb, CEO of REWAG, highlights the close cooperation between the partners: “The Haslbach solar park makes the energy transition visible locally. Together with Reinhausen and Voltgrün, we are creating a direct link between regionally generated green power and industrial use. Partnerships like this are crucial to the success of the energy transition.”

For Dr. Manuel Sojer, Managing Director of Reinhausen, the project is an important step in the sustainable development of the company's site: “For us, the Haslbach solar park is a concrete step on our path to embedding sustainability even more firmly in the company. Our 2025 Sustainability Report shows that we intend to reduce our emissions systematically and expand renewable energy in a targeted manner. The solar park is exactly where we are starting: we use regionally generated green power directly at the site, combining climate protection, security of supply, and industrial responsibility.”
Stefan Trummer, Managing Director of Voltgrün, adds: “The Haslbach solar park is a prime example of modern energy projects from the region for the region. Together with our partners, we are creating a sustainable and economically viable solution with tangible benefits for the climate, for companies, and for the location.”
