VACUTAP® VM® – A Worthy Successor for the OILTAP® M

MR has successfully manufactured and sold VACUTAP®-brand vacuum tap changers, which offer countless advantages over oil-based technology, for many years. For this reason, many clients have fully switched to vacuum technology from MR. In light of this, we have removed the OILTAP® M on-load tap-changer from our product range and stopped series production as of 31 December 2020. GE OLTC replacement by VACUTAP® RMV-II in Mexican Cement Plant

Mission in the Mexican jungle: Sociedad Cooperativa Cruz Azul, a cement company with almost 90 years of history in México, needed to modernize two old GE transformers at its plant in Lagunas Oaxaca. The problem: the OLTCs in the transformers were defective and the original manufacturer no longer produces them. Furthermore, neither service nor spare parts are available on the market for such OLTCs. This was therefore a job for the service specialists of Reinhausen Mexico (RMX) and the VACUTAP® RMV-II.

VACUTAP® VR ensures constant voltage in China's record-breaking ultra-high-voltage network

The 1100 kV UHVDC project from Changji to Guquan is the largest UHVDC project in the world. As the backbone of the Chinese electricity supply system, the ultra-high-voltage network will feature a transmission capacity of twelve gigawatts and will transport electricity over a record-breaking distance of 3,284 kilometers from western and northern China to the urban areas in the east and south.
