Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH renames to Reinhausen GmbH
Regensburg, Germany – Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH is now operating under the name Reinhausen GmbH. With this name change, the company is strengthening its identity as a globally active technology leader in the energy sector.
Exactly 125 years ago, Andreas Scheubeck registered Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen with the District Court in Stadtamhof and for more than a century, the name Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen has stood for quality, innovative strength, and reliability in power grid technology. The renaming to Reinhausen GmbH marks the next consistent step in the company’s ongoing development.
As a globally positioned quality leader with a high level of responsibility toward customers, partners, and society, the company has outgrown the "Maschinenfabrik (machine factory)” designation, explains Dr. Nicolas Maier‑Scheubeck, Executive Management Spokesperson of Reinhausen GmbH:
"The name change to Reinhausen GmbH reflects continuity amid change. The removal of the word ‘Maschinenfabrik’ closes an important chapter in our company’s history. More than ever, the MR brand stands for international presence, technological superiority, and the highest reliability."
The MR brand remains – now interpreted as “Made by Reinhausen”
The MR brand – which is synonymous among energy technology experts worldwide with resistor-type tap changers as guarantors of grid stability and the highest quality – will continue to be used, but with a clearly defined meaning: Made by Reinhausen. Regardless of where our products are developed, manufactured, or delivered, the following applies: everything customers receive from Reinhausen carries the quality promise “Made by Reinhausen”. This promise does not stand for a single location, but for shared standards, a unified understanding of quality, and responsibility across the entire value chain.
The renaming has no impact on ongoing business relationships. All existing contracts, orders, offers, and agreements remain fully valid without restriction.
