Inauguration of Aditya Birla Power Composites Limited
First Composite Hollow-Core Insulators manufacturing facility at Halol
Aditya Birla Power Composites Limited (ABPCL) launched its first Composite Hollow-Core Insulators (CHCI) manufacturing facility at Halol, Gujarat on 11th May 2022. The event saw a large number of customers and suppliers, along with the senior leadership of both parent companies, Grasim Industries Ltd. and Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH (MR).
„Megatrends in India have shown the need to have world class solutions for the power industry. This sector is critical to the nation's growth. As a leader in insulators, which are critical components of all power infrastructure, we are proud to contribute to the development of this sector.“
Mr. KM Birla
The day began with a sacred puja for the successful future of the plant and continued with a formal inauguration event, held within the plant area. After the ceremonial lamp lighting by esteemed customers, the commemorative inauguration plaque was unveiled by Mr. Jayant V Dhobley, Business Head & CEO Global Chemicals, Fashion Yarn and Insulators and Mr. Marcus Hartmann, Executive Director Business Development & Sales, Reinhausen Power Composites. The guests heard from Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman Aditya Birla Group and Dr. Nicolas Maier-Scheubeck, CEO MR and Mr. Holger Michalka Managing Director MR, who each shared their aspirations for the future of this business, on video. A special audio visual presentation showcasing the journey of ABPCL was played, followed by an insightful and inspirational speech from Dr. Santrupt Misra, Director Chemicals, Aditya Birla Group, who joined the event through teleconferencing.
„ABPCL is a global insulator company with a unique set up - as a system supplier, we can supply all technologies and in different perfomance classes.“
Mr. Holger Michalka
The session included a walkthrough of the products and new technologies, along with a complete process snapshot. Post the event, guests were invited to take a tour of the plant, wherein the dynamic and young professional workforce walked them through the process of manufacturing and testing of composite hollow-core insulators, in meticulous detail. A special tree plantation ceremony was also held at the plant lawns, to signify the growth of the business in partnership with customers. The day marked the beginning of a new venture, ready to surge ahead with its determination and enthusiasm, making waves in the Composite Hollow-Core Insulators sector and putting ABPCL on the global map.
