Business excellence is an important requirement for Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen to continue building its leading global position in power-transformer control.

To this end, the Regensburg-based company underwent an analysis with benchmarking which was conducted by the Initiative Ludwig-Erhard-Preis (ILEP) and lasted several days. The aim of this initiative, funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics, is to increase the competitiveness of German industry. The ILEP uses the internationally recognized model of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) for such analyses. Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen was able to stand its ground in this assessment and was awarded the highest rating of "5 stars" in "Recognized for Excellence". The company was awarded its certificate at an official ceremony in Berlin.
