24 OILTAP® for Liquefied Natural Gas Project in Australia

Reinhausen Australia (RA) has supplied Alstom with 24 OILTAP® M together with 8 TAPCON® 260 for the Gorgon Liquefied Natural Gas project (LNG).

The Gorgon LNG is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and the largest single resource natural gas project in Australia's history. The Gorgon Project will develop the Gorgon and Jansz-Io gas fields, located within the Greater Gorgon area, about 130 kilometres off the north-west coast of Western Australia.

It includes the construction of a 15 million tonne per annum (MTPA) Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant on Barrow Island and a domestic gas plant with the capacity of 300 terajoules per day to supply gas to private households in Western Australia. The site will be operational in mid 2013.

Senior Service Technician, Alan Brown, conducted a comprehensive full day “OLTC first Level response” training to the Gorgon site employees at the Alstom factory in November 2012. Alstom Service have agreed to an ongoing and comprehensive training program for locations around Australia for 2013.
