Education: Graduate in energy and automation technology
Position: Technical service engineer
At MR since: Start of 2010
"I joined MR in the last semester of my studies when I did a student placement in the technical service. I was integrated directly into the team and was able to garner extensive insight into the real working world by taking part in current projects. I especially liked that I was given the opportunity to work on projects independently. One of my projects involved implementing the functions of a TAPCON voltage regulator into simulation software. When I had finished my course I went straight into the technical trainee program where I was able to experience all the fields of work throughout the entire product life cycle – from development and technical marketing to product management and programming. Thanks to excellent training in different areas, I was always perfectly prepared for new challenges.
One particular highlight was the release of our new TRAFOGUARD as I was involved in all development cycles. In May 2012 I returned to the technical service team as a service engineer. Here we assist our customers and subsidiaries with technical questions and problems, start up equipment for customers and carry out on-site training.
The thing I find so great about MR is the way individual employees are appreciated and the friendly atmosphere that exists throughout the company. The technically challenging work and the freedom to take responsibility for your own decisions also form the ideal basis for continually developing.
In the future at MR I hope that my work remains as varied as it is now and that I can continue to help shape the product landscape, drive forward new ideas and make a difference to the company through my own work. But I'm sure all this is possible…"
