23.12.2008 Messko Reflection on 2008 Reflecting back on the nearly completed year 2008 it becomes quite clear that this was one of the most turbulent years for a long time. Particularly the last quarter of 2008 does not bode well for any of us in 2009 and we can only hope and remain positive, that the very real crisis worldwide, will not do too much damage to us and our businesses.
12.12.2008 Cold It is ice storm season in North America now. They come down from the north, slip into the valleys and cause power outagages. And when it became quite cold, power transformers have to withstand these cold temperatures (usually it should be that cold in Russia and northern Europe, too, but this year it is exceptional warm.
05.12.2008 Living history When you're moving after having been years in the same place, you'll find a lot of interesting things in your cabinets. So as we moved to our new facility two weeks ago, we discovered all those 20, 30 year old folders with product pictures, advertisements and so on. Well, did you know that Messko thermometers work in flatwork ironers of Braun from Syracuse, State New York or in alternators on vessels?
18.11.2008 Moving along Long time I wrote something. Now it is to tell you that Messko is moving to new works (or facility, premises, building, plant or whatever). I'll get a new office and hopefully all this webpage lies on a new server which is hosted in Regensburg by our parent company. So access will be smarter and faster, hopefully.
09.09.2008 Frequent / Frequency Here I am again. This was the headline of last week and you see that’s true. Still I have to send my texts to the marketing headquarter in Regensburg (MR) and they put it in, but I’ll get my system access soon to write more frequently. Good news.
02.09.2008 Here I am again You’ve seen the relaunch? When you enter www.reinhausen.com, it looks great. At Messko, we’re now part of the transformer control solutions business. It is not only because you can use our products on the LTC, the on-load tap-changers, but this is certainly one reason. There is our maintenance-free dehydrating breather type DB100 for LTC, for instance.
14.08.2008 The sufferings of a blogger Maybe you wondered why you didn't hear anything from me over the last two weeks. And maybe there will be some more weeks without a blog. The answer is just 'relaunch'.
17.07.2008 "Danger High Voltage" in Australia If you see "Danger High Voltage" on a substation fence, you probably wouldn't trespass. In case you would, maybe to steal scrap metal, you certainly would think about a certain risk, maybe danger to life. In Australia, it is different.
10.07.2008 Going nuclear? While we in Germany are talking about backing out of nuclear power generation, others are building on it. I heard from the UAE that the Emirates are going to construct some 14 nuclear power plants.
02.07.2008 Earthquakes When we started selling the impact recorders for monitoring the transport of power transformers and other heavy load, we only thought of this application.
