DEETAP® DU
Off-Circuit Tap-Changers (OCTC) are also called de-energized tap-changers (DETC). The new IEC 60214-1:2003 specifies them as "a device for changing the tap of a winding, suitable for operation only when the transformer is de-energized."
The new DEETAP® DU is designed in accordance to this norm.

Some technical highlights of our new standard DEETAP® DU range:
- Single and three-phase up to 2.000A max. rated through-current
- Rated insulation level up to Um=245kV (highest voltage for equipment)
- High safety through monitoring contact
- Compact, robust and intelligent design
- Simple in-tank installation

The complete new design impresses with its modular concept and innovative materials like glass-fibre reinforced plastic. Worth to mention is also the patented terminal contact system. Fundamental: In-tank installation is easy done, even for bell-type tanks.

Finally, DEETAP® DU is available with hand wheel or hexagonal shaft and can easily be equipped with either manual - or motor drive.
Contact your sales partner or sales@reinhausen.com to order today. Certainly special designs, e.g. for higher rated through currents and/or higher voltages for equipment, are available on your request.

DEETAP® U
Please note: Deetap® DU is the successor of the "U"-range and has consequently replaced it. There the last order date for the U-range was October, 31st, 2005.

Off-circuit tap-changers (OCTC) are used for voltage adjustment in oil-immersed transformers. In contrast to on-load tap-changers, off-circuit tap-changers require setting of the desired winding tap while the transformer is deactivated and off-load.

COMTAP® ARS
Advanced Retard Switch
An Advanced Retard Switch (referred: ARS) is
used to reverse the polarity of a winding during
transformer operation.
The COMTAP® ARS has two basic operating positions.
With an ARS application the through-current
of a current path is commutated to another
current path of the same potential. The contact
system is equipped with special contacts for this
purpose.
The COMTAP® ARS can be used for different
applications in combination with an on-load
tap-changer.
The ARS is primarily used to reverse the polarity
of the regulating voltage (double reversing
change-over selector function) for applications
with wide regulating ranges such as phase shifter
transformers, for example.
