08.03.2010 Satisfied customers around the world: MR makes donation to Unicef What do our customers think of MR and what areas still need additional optimization? To answer these questions we ran a worldwide customer satisfaction analysis again last year. What did our survey show? We were able to improve our results in many categories and our customers gave us good marks throughout.
In comparison to the 2006 results, there was particular improvement in customer satisfaction in the areas of customer support and delivery time. Again we did not offer our customers a gift in return for their participation in this customer satisfaction analysis and instead promised to donate 5 Euros to Unicef for each interview. 1263 interviews resulted in a total donation of 6315 Euros which MR rounded off to 6500 Euros.

05.02.2010 Reinhausen Power Composites at the Elecrama This year Reinhausen Power Composites (RPC) participated in the Elecrama trade show (Jan. 20 - 24) in Mumbai, India for the first time and exhibited its products there. The Elecrama takes place every two years. Its more than 1000 exhibitors and over 100,000 visitors make it the world's largest trade show for electro technology.

28.01.2010 Milestone for Reinhausen Power Composites: the 11,111th ReCoTec® delivered to HSP The success story of Reinhausen Power Composites continues. On Thursday (01.28.2010) the 11,111th ReCoTec® was presented to the HSP Hochspannungsgeräte GmbH during a small ceremony. Accompanied by Bavarian brass music played by the "Musikfabrik Reinhausen" band (Musikfabrik = music factory), HSP General Manager Manfred Meiger and Head of Purchasing Joachim Klinke accepted the composite isolator. A milestone in the still young history of RPC, the new ReCoTec® will be used in a ±500 kV HVDC project (HVDC = high voltage-direct current transmission) running from Hulunbeier in Mongolia to the Province of Liaoning in the northeast of China. The transmission line will carry 3000 MW of power.

Wind energy is also one of the upcoming markets for Reinhausen Power Composites. They supply the heavy duty couplings that connect the rotors and generators of wind turbines. Their compound hollow isolators with silicon sheaths make porcelain isolators look outdated. Read this issue and learn why.

15.12.2009 400th VACUTAP® for Wilson Transformer Australian owned Wilson Transformer Company (WTC) relies on the proven vacuum technology of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR). On 11th November 2009 the 400th VACUTAP® was delivered to WTC. This milestone was celebrated at WTC's Head Office and Power Transformer manufacturing plant in Glen Waverley (Victoria). Tim Farrell, Managing Director of Reinhausen Australia (RA), congratulated Robert Wilson, Managing Director of WTC, and presented him with a certificate to mark the occasion.

10.11.2009 Regensburg's Lord Mayor Schaidinger signs city partnership agreement with Qingdao and visits MR plant in Suzhou Last week, Regensburg's Lord Mayor Hans Schaidinger traveled with a delegation of city, university and business representatives to the eight-million metropolis of Qingdao in China. Also traveling with the group was Managing Director Michael Rohde of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen.

02.10.2009 Independent GmbH: Spin Off of Power Composites on 08.01.2009 Due to the steady growth of the insulating materials branch, the Power Composites business division was outsourced from the Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen on August 1, 2009 and has been an independent GmbH ever since. The Reinhausen Power Composites GmbH is a 100-percent subsidiary member of the Reinhausen Group. Jürgen Hauck is the general manager.

10.07.2009 MR and Messko Honored as "Top Areva Suppliers" Anne Lauvergeon, Chairwoman of the Board and President of Areva GmbH, honored 141 of her supplier companies during a ceremony in Berlin. From a total of 9000 Areva partners, MR and Messko were awarded the title "TOP Areva Supplier." Messko Manager Ansgar Hinz, MR Managing Director Dr. Nicolas Maier-Scheubeck and Global Account Manager Bernd Behrend (from left) were present to accept the certificates of recognition.
