As version DB200-T (picture above) for transformers with tank volume of 12,000 gallons or 40t oil respectively
As version DB200D-T as double version for transformers with tank volume of 24,000 gallons or 80t oil respectively.
Principle
The sinter-metal filter acts as protection against dust and other external influences. The air flowing to the oil conservator is dried by the silica-gel. Due to the turbulent air-flow, the complete pellet volume is effective. Within the connected pipe line, air humidity is measured. If given values are exceeded, the electronic controller activates the PTC-heating within the silica-gel container. The system itself determines the best time period for the baking-out process, based on the transformer condition. The escaping water vapor condenses on the bottom casting and drips out of the filter system.
An optional heating system prevents freezing of the filter system at low outdoor temperatures.
Main advantages
- Reduces inspections to a minimum
- Omission of silica-gel changing
- High reliability and safe operation of the power transformer
- No pollution and disposal problems with used drying agents
- "Learning" heating control defines the best suited heating-cycle via its temperature history
- Secure application in regions with extreme weather conditions (northern latitudes; deserts; tropical regions)
- Diverse flange systems offer the MTraB® as retrofit-solution
