This is at the heart of the TRASY2 system. It is combined with the pointer thermometer, and depending on the connections made, fulfils various functions:
- Heating the sensors to simulate the winding temperature
- Setting the temperature gradient using matching resistors.
- Pick-up capability for the sensor of a mechanical pointer thermometer.
- Preparing a temperature-proportional resistance signal to DIN43760 (Pt100) for remote indication.
