The TAPGUARD® 260 is the successor of the TM 100 monitoring system and has all the functions offered by TAPGUARD® 240. TAPGUARD® 260 receives all relevant data from a range of measuring devices such as sensors and measuring cards in order to prevent damage to the on-load tap-changer and transformer. TAPGUARD® 260 enables better planning of maintenance costs and assessment of the actual device state.
Doesn't it feel good to be able to know the state of your on-load tap-changer and motor drive unit at any time? TAPGUARD® 260 automatically monitors your OLTC and calculates all main maintenance parameters. It indicates when the next service is due, takes into account the soot content of the oil and calculates the contact wear in the OLTC. The calculations are based on data from more than 50 years of service experience with OILTAP® on-load tap-changers. For VACUTAP® VR and VV on-load tap-changers TAPGUARD® 260 indicates the service life of the switching valve (600,000 tap-change operations are equivalent to 100%).
