MPreC® Messko Pressure Control are pressure relief devices for transformers and tap changers.
The standard protection cover protects the internal micro switches and also the springs against external influences. In addition it makes sure that the oil flows out in a defined way in case of operation. The cover is made of sea water resistant aluminum. When the operating pressure is attained, the plate lifts up that an opening exists, through which gas or oil can go out. The signal pin, mad of aluminium, raises and operates the micro switches. The defined stroke lets the contacts operate within 2ms. The pin adjusts itself in its position while the pressure relief device closes securely.
Messko Pressure Relief Devices are available in a range from 5 to 30PSI (0,41 to 2,07bar). Electrical connection can be realized via cable glands or a terminal box; for the North American market there are also ANSI and Westinghouse connectors available.
