Offshore windparks around the world are contributing more and more to clean energy generation. Particularly powerful: The new Horns Rev 2 Windpark of the Danish power provider Energienet. A total of 91 wind turbines are in operation ten kilometers off the Danish coastal town of Esbjerg.

Und dieses Motto zog sich durch den ganzen Abend. Zu ehren galt es 35 verdiente Mitarbeiter. 18 von ihnen arbeiten seit 10 Jahren bei MR, acht konnten die 25-jährige und neun sogar die 40-Jährige Zugehörigkeit zum Unternehmen begehen.
20.11.2008Top news MR verschenkt Kuhherde nach Ruanda Die Idee kam von Edeltraud Diederichsen, Industriefachwirtin bei der Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR) und ehrenamtliche Mitarbeiterin des Kinderhilfswerks Plan International: „Warum spenden wir nicht mal Milchkühe anstelle von Geld?“ MR-Geschäftsführer Michael Rohde (Foto) sagte spontan zu und so kann Plan für Familien in Ruanda eine ganze Kuhherde mit insgesamt 21 Tieren kaufen. Mit der Milch decken die Kinder ihren täglichen Bedarf an Proteinen und Kalzium. Durch den Verkauf der restlichen Milch können die Familien unter anderem die Schulgebühren bezahlen. Auch die Tierarztkosten sind im Spendenbetrag von über 5000 Euro enthalten. Plan Deutschland wurde 1989 gegründet und finanziert kindorientierte Selbsthilfeprojekte größtenteils aus Kinderpatenschaften.
12.09.2008Top news We've got the Power! It was a surprising appearance of MR at the Husum Wind Energy 2008, an international fair in the Northern part of Germany. Hostesses provided the visitors with attractive bags inscribed "I've got the Power". Content: a candy bar and a brochure with MR products related to the generation of wind energy. Additionally there was a raffle where you could win a weekend in a wellness resort. Husum Wind Energy set a new record with 700 exhibitors from 35 countries and more than 20 000 Visitors from all over the world.

29.07.2008Top news "Building for the Future": MR Officially Opens World’s Most Unique Test Center During the inauguration ceremony of the company’s new, globally unique test center in Regensburg, Bavarian Prime Minister Dr. Günther Beckstein called the Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH (MR) corporation an “enterprise on the fast track.” It is, thus, not surprising that MR has become the global market leader in its branch. In addition to numerous guests of honor – among them Ms. Brigitta Brunner, the President of the District Government, and Lord Mayor Hans Schaidinger –, MR’s General Managers Dr. Nicolas Maier-Scheubeck and Michael Rohde also welcomed many customers and suppliers from Germany and abroad. After the official ceremony, the company opened its doors to the public for a “Science Day.” Almost 10,000 interested people from the region visited the new high tech building and partook in the various programs which provided both information and entertainment.

Dr. Jens Frost was present in Erlangen to accept the award as supplier of the year from Siemens Healthcare. Every year Siemens reviews all suppliers and grades their performances with an elaborate point system. The decision for MR was not only based on the excellent cooperative work together but also, even more importantly, on the quick help during development projects. For years now, the Powre Composites Division has been supplying processed composite tubes as coil carriers for magnetic resonance tomography devices. They are the devices which allow doctors to look inside the human body.

06.06.2008Top news MR with new Premises in China On June 6, 2008, MR together with more than 250 high-ranking guests from power providers, transformer industry, representatives from local authorities, commerce and trade celebrated the official opening ceremony in the new factory of MR in China, Jiangsu MR Manufacturing Co., Ltd in Suzhou. After more than 30 years of successful cooperation with China, with already 25,000 tap-changers in operation, MR is now further strengthening its commitment to the important Chinese transformer industry. In January 2007, MR already opened the 100% subsidiary MR China Ltd., which is responsible for the sales and after sales service of all MR products in China.
