Reinhausen Plasma‘s youngest product enables for the first time solvent-free (VOC-free), hence environmentally friendly, direct metall coating processes at atmospheric pressure conditions. The Cold.Coating systems deposit high precision layers also on temperature senstitive substrates that are wear and temperature resistant and show a high bond strength. The machinery meets high safety and quality standards. The computer-aided processing is extremely accurate and provides automated reproducibility. The coating layers are homogenous and can also be deposited partially or on 3D objects. The process parameters can be set according to the individual applications.
This novel coating technology offers a wide range of applications. The area to be coated can vary on request: a width of 3mm to up to 1.5m is possible. Plastic materials such as temperature-sensitive thermoplastics – especially thin films – glass, cardboard or paper, metals, wood, or ceramics – films can be deposited on all imaginable surfaces. So far available as coating powder is: zinc, aluminium, copper.
The layers have a thickness of 1μm or more. This new technology can deposit functional coatings, such as barrier, scratch-resistant or metallic and electrically conductive coatings, in any required thickness and at very low operating costs. Lead times of up to 150m per minute are possible. Hence, a 10μm thick zinc coating can be deposited at 100m per minute.
